My Story

My name is Maria and I have been a doll maker for over 30 years. It all happened by accident. I made a doll for my little girl at that time, Nikki, and she carried it around everywhere we went. Ladies at church asked me to make their little girls a doll and then I began giving them away to charity auctions and eventually got noticed by craft show promoters who asked me to participate in their shows. This was the beginning of Little Friends Cloth Dolls. It has been a great experience finding something I love doing. It allowed me to be a stay at home Mom, volunteer when needed and make lots of friends through the years at art & craft shows. My whimsical folk art rag dolls are mostly one of a kind made for ladies who are young at heart, but can also be enjoyed by little ones. I love shopping for fabrics wherever we may travel, collecting vintage doilies, old buttons & pins, books & furry critters to use on my dolls.
